Risus provides reporting controls on relevant user-generated content surfaces. Entry points include:
Report a post, ping, repost, image, video, or caption from its overflow menu.
Report a profile, display name, username, bio, or profile image.
Block or mute a user from the relevant profile or chat screen.
Report an individual message or media file inside a conversation.
Report a chat room or group from the room information screen.
Report offensive or unsafe AI-generated output without leaving the app.
Submit a general safety report from Settings or the Help screen.
Users may also email safety@risus.io.
Users can block or mute other users. Blocking reduces or prevents unwanted profile access, messages, mentions, room interactions, and other interactions where technically possible.
For one-to-one messaging and chat features, blocking is available from the relevant user profile and chat screen.
Reports may be reviewed using automated systems, human moderators, or both. Reviewers may consider:
Depending on the outcome of review, Risus may take one or more of the following actions:
Reports involving child sexual abuse or exploitation, credible threats, terrorism, imminent self-harm, trafficking, or other urgent danger are escalated for priority review.
Where legally required or appropriate, Risus preserves relevant evidence and reports serious illegal content or conduct to appropriate authorities or safety organizations.
Contact your local emergency services or law enforcement first. For child safety matters, also contact childsafety@risus.io.
Users may appeal certain moderation decisions by contacting help@risus.io. Appeals should include the account email or username, the content or action being appealed, and a short explanation.
False, malicious, repetitive, or abusive reports may lead to restrictions on the reporting account.
Use the in-app reporting controls where available, or contact our safety team directly. Include links, usernames, screenshots, and a short explanation so we can review quickly.
